BULLDOG Baseball
JH Head Coach – Garrett Evans
Garrett Evans is currently the Jay Schools Varsity Wrestling Head Coach and Assistant Junior High Coach. During Fall Season he is also an Assistant Junior High & 9th Grade Football Coach. In the Spring Season, he is the Junior High Bulldogs Head Baseball Coach.
Evans is a 2010 graduate from Cushing where he was a Wrestling 2X State Champion, 3X Dual State Champion, and a member of the Oklahoma 4A Wrestling All-State Team.
Evans was also a 4X DII Wrestling Collegiate National Qualifier and 3X Wrestling All-American for Ouachita Baptist University.
Coach Evans made coaching stops in Texas, Pryor, and Bixby.
Garrett and wife, Abby, have 3 children – Rafe, Parker, and Blake.
JH Assistant Coach – Mike Moore
Mike Moore graduated from Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, OK. He played baseball at Connors State College and Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he remained on staff as a graduate and assistant coach. In 1987 Moore became a coach at North Arkansas Community College, then traveled south to Weslaco (Texas) High School, and back to Oklahoma at Crowder High School. Coach Moore is currently the head baseball and softball coach at Jay High School. He is married to Marsha, and together they have four children: Ty, Kaci, Blaike, and Bryce.
JH Assistant Coach – Jordan Sweeney
Jordan Sweeney graduated from Jay High School in Jay, OK. He attended college at University of Arkansas-Fort Smith and Arkansas Tech University. Coach Sweeney is currently the Jr. High Softball Assistant Coach, the Jr. High Baseball Assistant Coach, the Jr. High Boys Basketball Head Coach, and the High School Boys Basketball Assistant Coach.
